Realised my blog has been filled with pictures lately...
pictures of the fortunate life i'm leading.
thanks to the people around me esp the prince....
who showered the princess with everything she needs.
But there are some( maybe much more) people who are not as fortunate.
I just came back from Bali this morning, trip was normal cuz i only have a night there.
Imagine going to Bali and never see the Bali beach, you'll know how short a time i spent there.
Despite the short stay, i manage to get a massage in the room.
Massue Manager: *phone ringing* " Miss, Do you want a traditional or aroma massage?"
Me: "the aroma..."
Massue Manager: " that will be US22 for 2 hours, i'll send my girl over in 15 min..."
Me: "alright, thanks..." *hang up*
15 min later...
I saw the Massue manager at my door step, with him is 3 other indo girls, tan, skinny and look obviously young (maybe my age)
The first thing that came out of his mouth was
Massue Manager: "Pay first..."
Shocked. i ran to my handbag and dug out the different currency that were all over, and handed the money to him.
Massue Manager: "okay, that's 2 hours"
The smiley and polite lady came in, made up the place and was ready to start work.
She spoke few words of English and i've to try vhard to figure out what she was trying to convey......
Throughout the session she was careful not to offend me and was constantly saying "is ok.."
which i later figured she was trying to ask if i was okay with her strength
Even though the massage was good, i seriously pity these young gals who have to start working at such a tender age, bringing foods on the table for the family.
She, like the other gals with the manager, was no bigger size than me, yet, has to work on people maybe twice or trice her size ( i'm talking about the angmos who frequent the Bali resort)
The tip of sg$10 ( i know some people will say it's too much for them) may mean nothing to us, but it did bring about great happiness( on her face i saw) to the girl and maybe a week worth of food on the table?
Do you..... in some way feel very FORTUNATE now?
